Christian Broadcasting in Western Alaska and the Russian Far East
We are excited to be a part of radio in western Alaska through KICY!We are working hard to launch Shine Like Stars, a children's radio program for our region! We'll post more as it develops. It is both exciting and daunting work! KICY has been a source of encouragement and hope in Alaska and across the Bering Sea to Russia since 1960. We feel deeply honored to have been invited to join the team. If you are interested in knowing more about outreach through radio in the Arctic, stay tuned -- more updates are coming. KICY does not have paid staff members, but rather asks that staff serve as volunteers. That means our family is seeking the support of churches and individuals who have a vision for what God is doing through radio in Alaska and Russia, and are interested in supporting our family to do this work. It's a lot different than radio options in the lower 48, where so much media is available. Our radio stations are a vital part of communication here in the far North. We hope to share more information soon on exactly what that looks like. It's fascinating! We can’t do this alone! We need a team of people willing to partner with us financially and through prayer.
